Rachel Edith Martin Terrell, age 88 of Nicholson, GA passed away Wednesday, October 07, 2015.
Mrs. Terrell was the daughter of the late Ruben Ezra and Louella Idella Smith Martin. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ford Terrell; son, Tommy Joe Terrell; brothers, Henry Franklin Martin, Cecil Emmett Martin, Virgil Eugene Martin; and a sister, Margaret Goff Robinson. She was a very active member of the Commerce Church of God.
Survivors include a son, Billy Eugene Terrell, Shiloh; 5 daughters, Jackie T. Love, Toccoa, Jenny T. Knight, Toccoa, Sandra Conley, Nicholson, Shirley Ann Terrell, Nicholson, Brenda Gail T. Perry, Calhoun Falls, SC; a sister, Trudy E. Clark, Miami, FL; grandchildren, Stacey T. Mogel, Terra Terrell, Sarah T. Medley, Vickie Terrell, Rachel Fowler, Elizabeth O. Towe, Michael O'Neal, Dana Leosewski; step-grandchildren, Christy Gleason, Melissa Conley, Cherie Lackey, Elizabeth R. Riehm, Natalie Conley; 22 grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday October 10, 2015 at Ivie Funeral Home Commerce Chapel with the Rev. Lee Ayers officiating. Burial will follow in the Hill Haven Cemetery, Monroe, GA. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday October 09, 2015 at the funeral home.
