Rodney W. Tomlinson

Rodney W. Tomlinson 72 of Carnesville ,Ga. died Feb. 12, 2012 at his residence of an extended illness. He was the son of Clara Humphries Tomlinson of Beuna Vista, Va. and the late Charles Tomlinson. He retired from Ford Motor Comany and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Surviors include his mother Clara Humphries Tomlinson of Buena Vista , Va. , his wife Joanne B. Tomlinson of the home, son Rodney Wayne (Donna) Tomlinson Jr. of English Indiana. Daughter Lorrie T. ( Chris) McDaniel of Winder, Ga. Step Chidlren Richard E. ( Lisa) Till of Highland Homes , Al. ,Tony ( Amy) Till of Snellville, Ga. Cecil Ferrell of Pratsville, Al., and Donnie (Tracie) Ferrell of Jefferson, Ga. April Michelle (Robin) Caver of Billingsey , Al. Brothers Garry (Anitta) Tomlinson of Beuna Vista, Va. , David ( Carol ) Tomlinson of Salembury, N.C., Larry ( Sandy) Tomlinson of Appomattox, Va. and Keith ( Kay) Tomlinson of Lexington , Va. 2 sisters Nancy Plogger of Lexington, Va. and Brenda ( Jerry) Entsminger of Lexington , Va. 21 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be Saturday at 2 PM from the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with David Tomlinson officiating . The family will receive friends in the funeral home Friday evening from 6 to 9 PM.
