Sandra Kirk, born on April 5, 1949, in Jefferson, Georgia, passed away on October 2, 2024, in Athens, Georgia. Sandra was a devoted homemaker, whose love and dedication to her family defined her life and legacy.
She is survived by her three beloved sons, Michael Pressley, Joseph (Angela) Pressley, and Christopher Scott (Samantha) Pressley, along with two cherished daughters, Linda (Dale) Pressley and Joann (Michael) Conner. Sandra's family also includes her two brothers, Buck (Jan) Tolbert and Buddy Tolbert. She took immense joy in the love of her family, which extends to 21 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed to call her their own.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Ed and Doris Bond Tolbert, as well as her first husband, Larry Pressley, and her second husband, Bernard Kirk. She also mourned the loss of her sister, Peggy Carroll.
The memories of Sandra will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends, reflecting her warmth and commitment to those she loved.
Visitation will be held at Ivie Funeral Home in Commerce, Georgia, on October 6, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on October 7, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on October 7, starting at 2:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel, providing family and friends an opportunity to celebrate her life and share in their collective grief. Burial will follow in Dry Pond Methodist Church Cemetery
Sandra Kirk will be remembered for her unwavering love and the light she brought to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her family and the many lives she touched throughout her journey.
