Shirley Ann McEntire, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, in Athens, Georgia. She was born on September 15, 1948, in Royston, Georgia.
Shirley dedicated her life to being a homemaker, cherishing her family and creating a warm and loving environment for her loved ones. Her nurturing spirit and steadfast commitment to her family were hallmarks of her character, as she poured her heart into caring for those around her.
She is survived by her daughter, Misty (Shane) Price, and her son, Brian (Kristi) McEntire, who carry forward her legacy with love and devotion. Shirley's grandchildren, Cody (Ashli) Price and Kaylee (Hunter) Hyde, brought her immense joy, and she found great happiness in the time spent with her great-grandchildren, Hudson Price and Kohen Hyde. Shirley is also survived by her brother, Dan Worley.
Shirley is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Randolph McEntire, and her parents, Bill and Sular Crump Worley. She is also predeceased by her brothers Carl Worley and sisters Christine Couch and Jane Brookshire, who all played significant roles in her life.
Visitation will be held on January 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home, located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, Georgia, 30529. Family and friends are encouraged to gather to celebrate the life of Shirley Ann McEntire, remembering her warmth and dedication to family that touched everyone she met. Burial will follow in Danielsville Memorial Gardens.
