Swayne Anderson

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Swayne Anderson, 82, of Commerce, who passed away early Thursday morning. Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Carrie Mize Anderson and was married to Kathleen Wilson Anderson of the residence. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Johnny Anderson, Q.D. Anderson and Irene Sorrow. Survivors, along with his wife, include his children, Maxine (Stanley) Seagraves and Shelia (Darrell) Jackson, both of Nicholson, Michael (Ginny) Anderson of Jefferson and Ricki Anderson of Commerce, a sister, Alene Sears of Homer, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Gordon Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 PM and at other times at the home of Michael and Ginny Anderson, 366 Standridge Rd. in Jefferson.
