Virgil Edward Hudson

Ivie Funeral Home, Madison County Chapel, announces services for Virgil Edward Hudson, Jr., 38, of Athens who passed away at his residence on March 3. Born in Athens, he was the son of Patsy Marie Hudson of Colbert and Virgil Edward Hudson, Sr. of Athens. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Grady Bradshaw and Hassie and Curtis Hudson. Survivors, along with his parents, include his wife Darla J. Hudson of Comer; children, Katlin Harvey of Oconee County, Dalton Chaz Hudson of Comer; siblings, Jennifer Hudson, Crystal Coile and Paula Hudson, all of Athens, Paul Hudson of Oconee County; maternal grandmother, Vera Bradshaw of Hull; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Madison County Chapel, located at 42 Booger Hill Rd. In Danielsville, with Rev. Tim Boswell offficiating. Interment will follow in the Colbert City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM.
