Warren Albert "W.A." Martin

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Warren Albert "W.A." Martin, Sr., 68, of Talmo who passed away at his residence on Friday evening. Born in Hall county, he was the son of the late Fred Harold and Kathleen Justus Martin and was married to Christine Ledford Martin of the residence. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Warren Albert Martin, Jr., a son-in-law, Mike Warren, siblings, Danny Ray Martin and Linda Sue Massey, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lee Rowland and Mary Lee Parr Ledford. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his children, Gwen (Craig) Puntervold of Talmo, Angela Warren of Talmo and fiance, Tony Carlyle; siblings, Kenneth Martin of Athens, Summie Martin, Dennis Martin and Roger Martin, all of Talmo, Marie Martin and Mildred Daniels, both of Cleveland; a step-sister, Allison (Mark) Raeke of NC; grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Kubiak, Dawn (Andy) Booth, Samantha Martin and fiance, Stew Sexton, Scott Martin; great grandchildren, Glayde Kubiak and Joanna Martin; honorary grandchildren, Colby, McKenzie and Dakota Hart and Kayli Martin; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday at 2 PM from the Pond Fork Baptist Church in Talmo with Rev. Johnny Knight officiating. Interment will follow in the Martin Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM. Mr. Martin will lie in state at the church on Monday from 1-2 PM.
