William D. Stanford

William D. Stanford, age 80 of Jefferson, GA passed away on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024.

Born on Dec. 21, 1943 in Mableton, GA, Mr. Stanford was the son of the late John David, Jr. and Anna Burger Stanford. He was a residential and commercial flooring expert and was a US Marine who served in the Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Mathews Stanford of the home; sons, Jamie Stanford, Thomas Brady; daughter, Maria Wilson; brothers, John Stanford, Michael Stanford; sisters, Sue Stanford, Pam Stanford; two grandchildren, Emma Rae Grove and Ale Grove.

Interment will be held 1 pm Monday, Aug. 26, 2024 at Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will begin receiving friends at 12 pm at Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, GA
