William Boyd Turner, a distinguished individual who touched the lives of with his kindness and generosity, passed away on July 29, 2024, at Grandview Rehabilitation in Athens, Georgia. He was born on August 29, 1938, in Commerce, Georgia, to Willie Turner and Gwynell Bolton Turner.

Mr. Turner led a remarkable life filled with accomplishments and cherished moments. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Agriculture before pursuing and earning his Ph.D. His career as a business analyst for the U.S. Government was marked by dedication and excellence, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Turner had a deep passion for photography, especially during his world travels. His keen eye captured the beauty of different cultures and landscapes, while his detailed memories of each trip brought these experiences to life for those around him.

In his roles as a loving husband to Betty Jean Hardy Turner and a devoted father to Danny Turner and Johnny Turner, Dr. Turner exemplified the values of family, respect, and compassion. His nurturing presence will be deeply missed by his surviving family members.

Mr. Turner will be laid to rest next to his wife at Jackson Memorial Gardens in a private ceremony.
