Willie Jay "Bill" Garrett

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Willie Jay "Bill" Garrett, 77, of Homer who passed away on Wednesday at the Northridge Medical Center in Commerce. Born in Banks County, GA, he was the son of the late Luther and Mamie Lou Brown Garrett and was married for almost 50 years to Jennett Robinson Garrett of the residence. Other survivors include a son, Willie "Billy" Garrett of Butler, grandchildren, Tiffany Pedraza of Lawrenceville and Michael "Cameron" Garrett of Toccoa, a great-grandson, Rogelio "Trey" Pedraza of Lawrenceville and a sister, Francis Nation of Commerce. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Commerce with Rev. Larry Dyer and Rev. T. Gary Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 PM.
