Mary Juanita (Mealor) Mintz

Mary “Juanita” Mealor Mintz, age 80 of Maysville, GA passed away on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023.

Born on Dec. 3, 1942 in Commerce, GA, Mrs. Mintz was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen McCollum Mealor. She is the widow of James Ellery Mintz to whom she was married to for 44 years, was a school nutrition worker for 19 years with Banks County School System, of the Baptist faith, was preceded in death by brother, Billy Mealor and a sister, Frankie Jean Mealor.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Wanda Mintz of Lula, GA, Jeff and Terri Mintz of Gainesville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Richard Millard of Maysville, GA; grandchildren, Mitchell Mintz, Jessica Mintz, and Dylan (Virginia) Patrick and a sister in law Hilda Ward.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Monday, Oct. 30, 2023 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Simmons and Rev. Leon Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Mintz Family Cemetery, Maysville, GA. The family will receive friends 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
